Tini

• Tini is a "Java board"
• Physically it consists of
  • A processor
  • Flash ROM
  • Static RAM
• The processor has inbuilt support for a serial port and other I/O mechanisms such as CAN and 1-wire
• Other I/O mechanisms such as ethernet can be accessed from the microcontroller's address and data buses
• The flash memory stores the Tini runtime s/w
• The ROM is used for all dynamic memory, such as loading applications and running them

Tini O/S

• The Tini O/S is a small realtime system, details not released
• There is a lightweight Native Interface system, defined in Assembler

Tini VM

• This is similar to the KVM, in that it only makes a subset available
• It has basically the same restrictions as the KVM: no real numbers, no reflection, etc
