Tutorial week 7

  1. Using the URL classes, point at a gif image, download it and either save it in a local file or display it in a JLabel or JEditPane
  2. Browse the services available at http://www.xmethods.com. Look at the WSDL for the various services
  3. Bob DuCharme "A general-purpose Java SOAP client" http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/xml/library/x-soapcl/ shows how to use the URL class to connect to and query a Web service. See if you can get this working. The service on www.xmethods.com is "Current temperature in a given U.S. zipcode region"
